2013 NFL Training Camp: Long And Mills Could Be Boost Along Right Side Of Bears’ O-Line

Rookies Kyle Long and Jordan Mills have run with the first-team offense the past two days in practice.
Long, the Bears’ first-round pick this season has been competing for the starting right guard job with second-year man James Brown.
Mills was selected in the fifth-round and has spent all of training camp with the second-team behind veterans J’Marcus Webb and Eben Britton at tackle.
However head coach Marc Trestman insists the move to insert the rookies into the starting lineup is all part of a plan.
“This has been part of our plan,” said Trestman via Chicagobears.com. “I wanted to get Kyle in there to get some work with the ‘ones’ and Jordan as well. We need J’Marcus to get over there and work as a backup at the left tackle position and we think Eben is in better position to back up on the right side and get some work there and keep it
