Nickelback D.J. Moore has been one of the best players on the Bears defense this season.
Unfortunately he suffered a minor setback in practice.
He couldn’t practice yesterday after suffering a sprained ankle in practice on Wednesday. He is doubtful for Sunday’s game.
Moore is used often on defense, usually replacing linebacker Nick Roach on third downs.
Moore has racked up 37 tackles, which ranks fifth on the team. He has the team lead with three interceptions, sharing it with Brian Urlacher.
With Moore likely out with a sprained ankle, Corey Graham will step into the nickelback spot.
Graham relieved Moore of his duties last Sunday when Moore was ejected from the game. Graham actually reeled in an interception in the fourth quarter.
He could move over to corner, while Tim Jennings plays nickel, but expect the Bears to simply use Graham at nickel in this game.
