Rookie right tackle Gabe Carimi isn’t expected to be active for the seventh straight week this Sunday against NFC North foe Detroit.
He was aiming for a return last week, but couldn’t give it a go after fully practicing last Thursday.
His knee became more sore from practicing so hard, so the Bears would be wise to play it safe with Carimi.
The Bears are in no rush to bring Carimi back to the lineup, but don’t expect him to be put on the injured reserve just yet.
The Bears offensive line has allowed only six sacks in the past four games.
Rookie TE Adams Put On IR
Undrafted rookie tight end Kyle Adams from Purdue suffered a torn hamstring on Monday night against the Eagles.
The injury occured on a field goal attempt. Adams played primarily special teams this season, but had a couple opportunities on offense.
