Watching youngsters Major Wright and Chris Conte start and play well last night didn’t seem to brighten Chris Harris’s mood.
Harris, a veteran safety, has been shaken up with a hamstring injury, but has returned in and out of the lineup.
Him and fellow veteran, Brandon Meriweather were benched in favor of Wright and Conte for last night’s game.
Meriweather suited up, but Harris didn’t. Head coach Lovie Smith’s decision to bench the veteran Harris was based on production and special teams play.
Smith didn’t believe Harris could contribute on special teams, hence the inactive status.
Harris had this to say on “The Waddle and Silvy Show” today on ESPN 1000:
“I requested a trade, I sure did,” Harris said. “I don’t know if I’ll be traded or not. I’ve definitely requested one, and the trade deadline is tomorrow, so that’s a very small window of time, so it’s not to say anything is going to be
