With Major Wright doubtful with a head/neck injury and veteran Chris Harris likely a game-time decision after being limited in practice, Craig Steltz and Brandon Meriweather look to be the starting safeties for the Bears.
Harris missed last week’s game against the Saints because of an hamstring injury. He has been testing it this week in practice and is questionable for Sunday.
He knows how important this game against the Packers is, so don’t be shocked if he is out there come Sunday. Even if he does play, Steltz will still be used because Harris won’t be able to play the entire game.
Meriweather left last week’s game with an ankle injury, so the Bears decided to go with young safeties Major Wright and Chris Conte.
Later in the game, once Wright was ruled done for the day, the Bears opted to use Craig Steltz alongside Brandon Meriweather. The two looked much more comfortable
