Bears head coach Lovie Smith might be the happiest person now that the NFL lockout is over.
Lovie had this to say about the Bears training camp plans and much more:
“I’m excited that the lockout’s over and excited that we can go to the next phase and get to camp,” Smith told ChicagoBears.com Monday after NFL owners and players agreed to a new CBA.
Lovie Smith and the Bears will conduct their first training camp practice Saturday in Bourbonnais.
“I’m excited to start working together as a team and excited to see the guys,” Smith said. “I haven’t seen any of the guys forever. So I’m just pumped up about us getting back together as a team and starting to work on the goals that we’re going to set for the season.”
